56-year-old US-based Nigerian pastor gets 15 years jail term for abusing teenage girls in church

A 56-year-old Nigerian pastor based in the United States (US), was
reported to have bagged 15 years jail term after he was caught abusing
two teenage girls in church. The clergy man who was identified as Reuben
Chizor is the founder of Hope Restoration Ministries and was said to
have been carrying out this devious act in his church’s basement. Chizor
was said to have abused two young girls age 12 and 14-years-old but
their names were not disclosed.

New York Daily News revealed that Chizor who faced trial few weeks
back on July 27, 2011 took the 14-year-old girl to the church’s basement
where he defiled her and on August 22, 2011 he did the same thing to
the 12-year-old girl.
Realest Vibe further reported that, the secret was let out of the bag in
July 2015 after the two teenage girls confronted each other and
reported the case to the police.

Speaking on this incident, the Queens District Attorney, Richard Brown said:

“The defendant took
advantage of his position as a man of the cloth and the trust placed in
him by his followers to satisfy his depraved desires. Through
manipulation and conniving control, he abused his two young victims for
nearly two years. What the defendant forced his victims to endure was
horrendous and as punishment he now will be spending a lengthy term
behind bars.”
